After leaving school upon graduating, I realized that time has passed way too quickly. I have been rushing on a daily basis. Rushing back and forth to work, anticipating to get my monthly pay, rushing to meet my half year and full year financial goals. All I think about is working as much as I can for my future, forgetting about the present. I think my average walking speed is way too fast as well. Upon that realization, I have decided to take things slowly, if not one day I will realize I am 40 and have already rushed my life away. Now I walk slowly whenever I can, just like how the retirees are living when you see them walking around. I used to think that they have nothing to do but you know what, that's the beauty of HAVING NOTHING TO DO. Appreciating the surroundings, the bustling neighborhood and the beauty of nature in the clouds and trees. I am going to start living my life at a slower pace to truly enjoy and appreciate everything around me. In fact, I hate working on nights, I don't want to work in the evenings anymore because I want to come home to where my family is.
